2016 Reading Goals

It is that time of year, y’all! I know everyone is going to be saying it… But seriously. How did this year go by so fast?!

bring it on

I figured this would be the perfect time to write down my reading goals for next year. I completed my 2015 Goodreads Reading Challenge this year! 50 books was my goal and I finished with a couple extra. Wahoo!

So for next year….

I’m thinking I am going to read 60 books. Which is 10 up from my last year’s Goodreads goal! 🙂 Even though I read 60 in 2015.

At least 5 of those books will be print. The past year, I think I have only read 2 or 3 print books. Sad, I know! I guess I just prefer ebooks more lately. But that did not stop me from buying a bunch of second-hand books. Oh my! 😉

Well, until my Book Buying Ban. Which has enabled me to read more of the books I already own.

My Reading Goals:

Read 60 books.
Read 5 print books (can be included or in addition to original 60).
Read a book longer than 500 pages.
Read a book that I normally wouldn’t.
Read a book from a family member’s recommendation.

I am also participating in a couple year-long challenges. One is the 2016 Pick Your Genre Reading Challenge. I’ve chosen Contemporary Romance and Erotica. Two challenges. 36 books. Not too bad, since mostly what I read is romance anyway. 😉 My other challenges include a review challenge, and a New To You challenge, which should be pretty fun since I love finding new books, series, or authors to read!

I will update my progress on all reading challenges every couple of months. Yay, me! 🙂 Wish me luck as 2016 starts!

What are some of your reading goals for 2016?

I love reading, too. Does re-reading a book count? Because sometimes I love a book so much, I can’t help but re-read it!

Oh yeah. I’d say it counts! 🙂
