Welcome back!

This week’s topic is…

5 New Things I Want to Try

This was a tough subject for me this week. I always say I want to try something, then I promptly forget what I wanted to try.

So let’s give this a shot.

  • New restaurants. I always tend to stay with the same ones, ordering the same things. I really need to branch out and try something different.
  • Book clubs. I have always wanted to be in a book club. But I just never have. I wonder if any of the libraries have any…
  • Bungee jumping. I’m not too fond of heights, but I have always wanted to bungee jump. Or….
  • Zip lining. I think this would be super fun too! Again, not fond of heights, but it’s something new!
  • Annnnnnd. I cannot think of a fifth one. Kudos to you if you make it to the five!

**Next up on 5 Things on Sunday: Words to describe your week.

Tell me. What are 5 new things you want to try?

~~ As always, if you have any suggestions for the 5 Things posts, let me know!

  2. This was my first 5 Things on Sunday, and I have to admit it wasn’t super easy! Thanks for hosting!

You are very brave wanting to try bungee jumping and zip-lining! I’m afraid my fear of heights is just too great. I freak out when at the top of steep stairs

Ack! My comment posted before I was finished. It wouldn’t be new for me, but I hope to someday find a good book group–one that fits my schedule. It’s hard right now, working full-time and with a young child. Maybe when she’s older.

I didn’t include it in my 5, but I am also dying to try a book club. I had an offer a couple years ago, but I found out it was just one other person and all she wanted to do was drink wine and not actually read -_-. Here is my 5 post: http://chandareads.com/2017/02/26/5-things-sunday-6/

I’d love to bungee jump or skydive or something!
I’ve tried to start book clubs in the past, but it’s difficult because I move a lot and for some reason, I don’t know many readers in my work and social circles. It’s kind of frustrating.

Here’s my link! This is the first time I’ve participated. I love your meme! I’ll be sure to participate again in the future. 5 Things on Sunday

Zip-lining sounds like a lot of fun! I also really want to join a bookclub, but I don’t know if there are any in my area.

    Here’s my list: http://wp.me/p6DosB-1NP

    All the best xx

  8. I was too nervous to join a bookclub where I didn’t know anyone so a group of co-workers and friends of those co-workers created one in town haha. It’s been a great experience (almost at a year anniversary). We do one book a month and usually theme our time together with a potluck or gift exchange.

  9. I know that my library system offers a bunch of different book clubs at our different branches – some have themes, like a nonfiction book club or a Canadian-authors book club (I’m in Canada), while others are open-ended book clubs. I definitely suggest checking out your local library! I also belong to a local book club I found on Meetup, you might want to check that website out, too!
