Best Read Books I don’t Own
How’s it goin? I thought it would be cool to give you a sneak peak into some of the best books I have ever read, but don’t currently own.
Do you ever think back to a book you read long ago and wish that you still had it or wish you had purchased it to begin with? This happens to me ALL the time. Especially for books I read in High School that I rented from the school library. I have also moved quite a bit and have downsized my book collection with each move (especially when I moved out of state). Kendra, however, DID NOT when we moved out of state. So. Many. Books. To. Bring. Upstairs. I was there. We did it. Let’s move on.
Without further ado, here is my list:
I know we have talked about this a few times. I haven’t read the entire series, however, I have read almost 4 books. These were some of the best books I have ever read and I loved the movies. I kick myself when I think about not finishing the series. Even worse, I kick myself when I remember that I gave the ENTIRE series away when I moved out of my mom’s house almost 10 years ago. These books take me back to my childhood and I can’t help but love them as an adult.
This was one of my favorite books to read when I was in High School. I made it fairly far into this series but stopped with 3 books left. Are you noticing a trend? Haha. There are not many series that I have successfully finished. I almost want to re-read these books and finish the entire series, but man that would take a while. Nonetheless, I love Anne Rice and her books. If you haven’t read them, I recommend it. The books are way better than the movies.
Man, this book is so good. I remember reading it in High School. It was one of the only ones I actually read that was required of me. I was always terrible at actually reading what I was supposed to in school. Maybe because most of the books were not about crazy children killing each other! (spoiler). Ha! If you have not read this one, I recommend you do. It’s a quick read and it has a lot of hidden meanings that are relevant even today.
I decided to post the version that had these two together. I have never personally read 1984, but I hear it is UHmazing. I have, however, read Animal Farm. I actually read this in 6th grade. I feel that was probably a little early for me to do so, haha. However, my teacher at the time did not think so. I remember not really understanding it at the time, but I do now and I really want to pick it back up. I may even need to get this version that has both stories so that I can see what the hype is about.
This was a series that I actually finished. I lost the books during moving and I am really bummed I did. These are totally YA but they are sooo good. I loved the characters and was so involved with them. I read these books as they came out. It was like watching a TV show and having to wait for the next episode. They were so good! If you like YA books, check them out. They are easy reads and are really good!
Wellp, I am going to wrap this one up for now! We may do another version as there are SO many books that we have read. What are some books that you LOVE but don’t own?
