Love Crushed – Review

Holy smokes! So I received my first ARC for blogging purposes and I absolutely loved it! I did read the first one called Ten Year Crush (which you can find here), and it was amazing. So naturally, I figured this one would be too. Toshia Slade blew it out of the park! Amaze-balls. I cannot get enough!

Wow. This one I actually read in less than 24 hours. It didn’t help that my boyfriend’s parents were buying a car, so I chilled in my car while the paperwork was done. Got about half way through, and had to stop because if I read in a moving car, I get major motion sickness.

Anyway, first off, I have to admit that I do follow Toshia’s Facebook page (here), so I knew this book was coming and I was thrilled when I got the chance to read it in exchange for an honest review.

However, this book exceeded my expectations. For real. The dynamic relationship between Tiffany and Josh was nothing short of amazing. It made you laugh, it made you cry, it made you wish you had a guy like Josh. Maybe you do?

Going through this book, both Tiffany and Josh are scared, Tiffany more so than Josh. I completely understand where Tiffany is coming from the entire time, and I don’t blame her. She has loved Josh more than half of her life, and what would happen if they decided to give their love a try and it ends up not working out? She could lose one of her best friends and her world would never be the same. I love how Toshia made everything clear about how both character’s felt, even if, as the reader, I was shaking my head because I could 100% relate to Tiffany.

Some of the scenes are flashing back to Ten Year Crush, except in Love Crushed, you see the scenes from Tiffany and Josh’s point of view, instead of Gabby and Cam’s. The Tiffany and Josh story begins the night of the Halloween party you read about in Ten Year Crush. I just loved how she tied both of these books together.

My absolute favorite part of this book is when they’re at the cabin in Tennessee. I have always wanted to rent a cabin in the woods like that. That definitely tugged my heartstrings. <3

Overall, AMAZING book! I cannot wait to find out what Toshia has in store for us next!
