Bookish (& Not So Bookish) Thoughts

Welcome back! I can’t believe it’s Thursday already! I feel like we already had one this week. Ahh!

This week’s awesome meme is hosted by Christine over at Bookishly Boisterous! Head on over to her blog and check her out!

♡ I am proud to say that I have read 3 books so far this month. That is a huge thing for me! Normally, I’m lucking if I get 1 a week. I still have 5 more on my TBR for January, but hopefully, I’ll get them! If not, at least 2 more before the end of the month. Wish me luck!

♡ I only set my Goodreads goal for 60 books, so that is roughly 5 books a month. So I’m definitely on track so far.

♡ School is so blah. I’m in the last week for my lit class. I’m so over it! Thankfully, my team assignment this week is already done. I just have to put the final touches on it, before I submit it. My individual assignment, I won’t write until Sunday, when I have time, but thankfully, this one isn’t too bad either. While it’s a paper, it doesn’t have the structure of a paper. Of course, grammar and such, still matter. But I don’t have to spend time researching and whatnot. It’s just a reflection of the past 5 weeks, and why literature is so important. Hopefully, easy peasy. 🙂

♡ Oh my. I found this on Facebook the other day, and I’m in love. His voice. His moves. His abs. Those tattoos. Ooooh! 😉 And. It’s a sexy type of song, so it totally works. Check it out. Oh yeah. Excuse me, while I go… Yeah.

♡ So a while ago. Caden was being super cute and decided to put on Daddy’s hat. He grabbed my extra pair of sunglasses, and grabbed a clear container that he uses to hold his Hot Wheel cars. He then decided, he was going to go to work. Just like Daddy. Except Chris doesn’t carry a briefcase. He carries a backpack, with a computer, and all that entails. But Caden wanted to be like Daddy. It was so adorable!

♡ Oh, speaking of pictures, I took this the other day. It was so beautiful!

♡ That is actually one of my all time favorite things. Pictures of sunsets. It so breathtakingly beautiful. My 2015 calendar was of sunsets. And it’s actually still hanging on my wall, because I really like the December sunset. Haha!

♡ Is anyone else finding it super difficult to get back into their routines after the holidays? I’m sitting here typing this out as I should be reading my textbook for school. So. Much. Reading. Ahh! I’m such a procrastinator.

♡ Then I started watching videos on YouTube. 15 minutes go by…

Anyway, how has your week been?

  1. Hooooo boy, that music video! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Good luck getting through your TBR this month! It can definitely be hard to get through all the books you WANT to read when youʻve got a toddler and school work to worry about!

Oh…and that YouTube. It just sucks you in!

  3. Avatar Kate W says:

Yeah, that guy Blake… he has a really, really good voice 😉

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Glad you liked the video! 😉

  4. Good luck with working through January’s TBR – it sounds like you’re making a good dent in it already! I’ve found that I’m reading a lot quicker than normal this month too; I hope it’s something that’ll stay. Maybe the new year is just a great motivator.

Haha! Cute picture of your son! And that sunset picture – just beautiful!

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Thank you! I hope your reading pace stays the same as well. 🙂

  5. Avatar Blissful Bookworm says:

I usually set my reading goals low because of school. Now that I have taken a semester off, blogging takes up most of my time. I decided to try and read twenty books this year. So that’s two books a month. Good luck with your reading goals!

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Thank you! 20 doesn’t sound too bad. 🙂 Good luck on your goals as well.
