Bookish (& Not So Bookish) Thoughts

I’m back!

Bookish Thoughts

Last week was terrible! I was so sick. That’s why there was no Bookish Thoughts post for last week.

I’m actually kinda grateful that we ended up not going to SF that week; it would have been a miserable trip.

What were you guys up to last week?

Moving on…

This week:

♡ School vacation is still going. T minus 5 days until I start back up. As much as I want to hurry up and finish my degree, I’m actually not looking forward to going back to school. Does anyone else feel that way? Or is it just me?

♡ I’ve been working on graphics and my blog layout. If you haven’t seen it, check it out and let me know what you think? It’s definitely a work in progress. I’d love any and all feedback!

♡ Ikea in Vegas opened yesterday. Mistakenly, I forgot about the date and I drove down the Sunset. Stupid idea. Traffic galore. Cop cars everywhere. Cops directing traffic. So many pedestrians. Finally get down the street, but they keep on coming. To my left, an empty dirt lot was jam packed with cars. Remind me to avoid Sunset for a couple months…

♡ My birthday is next week! I’ve got a surprise for my readers… It’s actually a pretty neat idea. I saw it on Pinterest a while back. Or maybe it was on Facebook. I honestly can’t remember. But I had to re-do the basic idea, since I couldn’t remember where I found it.

♡ I talked to my aunt yesterday. In turn, she kindly reminded me that it was not too long ago that she was trying to help teach me how to wear contacts. Guys. That was thirteen years ago. 13 years?! Wow… I will be 26 in exactly one week. What am I going to do?!

♡ My neighborhood/area has had a tad bit of criminal activity lately (just break-ins). It’s not too much to worry about, but it has prompted a couple of my neighbors to create a FB Group for my subdivision. It’s actually pretty cool. A bunch of the neighbors are going to be creating a Neighborhood Watch committee. Also, sometime in the future… Block parties! Plus, eventually, all the houses are going to be built. More people will move in, and hopefully some kids Caden’s age! Summer is coming up, and he needs friends outside of school anyway. I’m terrible at meeting new people (especially neighbors), so this is a good way to do it!

♡ The lead singer in this video, is related to Chris. No freaking joke. Little Cindy-Lou Who, who then went on to become Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl. One of my favorite shows. Omg. I totally want to meet her someday. I only wish Chris’ mom was in contact with them.

What are some of your bookish (or not so) thoughts this week?

Welcome back Kendra and Take care.

  2. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling ill. I hope you’re completely better for the start of the new school term. And I love your new blog header – the stripes are great: clear and colourful! 🙂
