Bookish (& Not So Bookish) Thoughts

Bookish Thoughts

Welcome back!

Let me just say that I am glad to be back on Bookish Thoughts this week. The past two weeks have been ugh. Excluding my birthday, and Chris’ birthday.

Anyway, let’s see what I’ve been up to:

♡ School started back up. Ethics. Yay… It was interesting for the first two weeks, but now that we’re in week three, I’m over it.

♡ I cannot get over this. My Perfect Planner. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend doing so. It could be perfect for you too!

♡ My awesome birthday cake. The inside was black and white. Sort of like marbled, but the layers were separate. It was super delicious!

♡ I came across this on Facebook, and Mike Constantino’s voice is amazing. The way he keeps one beat through 15 different songs. It’s outstanding. Don’t believe me? Check it out!

♡ Alright. So my old roommate and I were talking about egg salad, and we need to find out what everyone else thinks. Ok:

Do you use pickle juice or lemon juice in your egg salad?

I’m not going to say who uses which, because that makes it more fun. And you won’t be tempted to side with me 😉 So… Which is it?

♡ Within this past week, I have received two review request from authors. I’m stoked! Wait. Does anyone say stoked anymore? Haha. They both seem super good, so keep an eye out for those in late July!

♡ Speaking of July… My kiddo turns 5 in less than 1 month. I’m crazy excited, but I’m sad that my little baby boy is growing up. Come August, he will no longer be a pre-schooler. He’s already not a baby. He’s not a toddler. He’s becoming a little kid, a little boy. I am so not ready for that!

♡ Oh. We also started nighttime potty training. Ugh. For the longest time, Caden was pulling his stubborn strings and would not go number two outside of a diaper. I am so disgusted from having to change diapers for almost 5 freaking years. We. Are. Moving. On. However, I feel like he’s a baby again because I’m having to wake up every 2.5-3 hours to feed him. Except it’s to take him potty. I’m contemplating if I need to change my thinking because I’m not sure if he’s learning to hold it through the night or not, or if he’d wake up on his own. Anyone have any tips of nighttime training?

♡ As much as I do not like Justin Bieber… I actually like Love Yourself. Don’t ask. I don’t know why! I just can’t get it out of my head at times. Ahh!

What are some of your thoughts?

Happy belated birthday! I don’t use either juice for egg salad, but I’ve only made it a few times, and not recently, so I’m not even sure what is appropriate. I’ve never used lime for anything other than a Corona, so I’d say lemon juice.

    Happy belated bday Kendra😀

  3. I haven’t used pickle or lemon juice in egg salad, but it sounds like I’m missing out! Happy birthday, better late than never.

Toilet training is in my distant past, as my children are all adults, and even the grandchildren are past it. I blocked it out! That’s how much I didn’t love it. Good luck.

No juice at all In my egg salad. I do use pickles for crunch, but no juice. Your cake is so cute.
