Bookish (& Not So Bookish) Thoughts

Bookish Thoughts

Hey guys!

My progress is just up ahead.

<3 <3 One more week until vacation! Sweet!

<3 <3 I have wayyy to many books in my NetGalley shelf. They’re piling up on me! Thankfully, it’s going down. Slowly, but surely. I think I got a little trigger happy. Or rather, click happy.

<3 <3 So the boyfriend and I are starting to pick out paint colors! For every room in our house! Right now, it is just painted in that basic yucky white color. You know, the white where you can see every single speck of dirt? When we were moving, we got scuff marks on the walls and they are just not coming off! Besides,ย everything in our house is white. We have too manyย whiteย walls, the doors are white, the trim is white, the staircase banister is white… It has got to go!

<3 <3 On the same note… We are going to completely re-do our bedroom. Get wayyy more storage in here. A king size bed. Landscape pics up on the walls. It is going to look so cool when we’re done. Ooh! Barn door for the bathroom. We have a huge master bathroom that is open (no door) to our bedroom. The toilet is sectioned off (with a door), but the rest is open. The sun light pours into the bathroom in the morning, reflects off the glass, and wakes us up! It’s terrible!

<3 <3 Speaking of bed… For my kiddo’s next birthday, we’re thinking about getting him an actual twin bed, instead of a toddler bed. I mean, we bought a house. It’s more permanent. He needs a permanent bed. ๐Ÿ™‚ Well… Unless he outgrows it by then. Which is completely possible.

<3 <3 I’m still watching Switched At Birth. It is an amazing show. Check it out on Netflix! I dare you!

<3 <3 October Blog Ahead — I have scheduled 9 posts and I have 2 drafts. Plus… I scheduled a bunch for October. I’m getting there! Also, I am needing ideas! What would you guys like to see on my blog?

What have you guys been up to this week? Feel free to share or link up in the comments below!

State of the ARC

  1. Reading, reading, and more reading! Oh, and I went on a Spot the ISS night trip with the rugrat.

I’m at November 11th in terms of how far ahead I am posting wise, with book reviews scheduled every M/W/F until then.

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Sweet! That sounds like fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ You’re getting a great dead start! I’d love to have book reviews that often. Actually, I’d love to go through books that often! Lol!

      1. I read at a ridiculously fast pace AND I’m an insomniac.

  2. Sounds like lots is happening in your life right now ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Oh yeah! ๐Ÿ™‚ sometimes I like being busy lol

  3. Hi- Visiting from this week’s meme. My first time to your blog, too. I am amazed at young moms who have the time to both read AND blog AND race after a toddler.

    My Bookish post

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Hi! Thanks for visiting! It definitely is difficult, but so worth it ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I have been not reading pretty much all week! I’ve seen advertisements for Switched at Birth. It sounds like fun.

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Yeah, it’s pretty awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hate it when I have weeks that are so busy that I hardly have time to read.

  5. Avatar Rory says:

I sometimes plan ahead with blogging, but often (like right now) I do not! So I am in awe.

And paint colors… I love picking them out, like painting, and hate the clean up. Good luck! I loved solidifying my whole house’s color scheme.

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Blogging ahead as helped me so much right now. Usually, I don’t plan ahead much more than 3-4 posts at one time. My Friday posts, I have to wait until Thursday night because I have no idea where I’ll be at in the current book I’m reading. Wednesdays, I can’t really plan either because it outlines what I have read during the week and what I will read for the upcoming week. It definitely is a lot of hard work, trying to blog ahead. It’s super fun trying though! Lol!
As an adult, I haven’t painted anything. I remember as a kid helping my parents paint our house, but I sure don’t remember the clean up. Hopefully, it won’t be too bad! ๐Ÿ˜€
