Bookish Thoughts — Grand Canyon Edition

Howdy everyone!

Bookish Thoughts

This week is something special. As most of you know, my parents have been visiting this whole past week. We took a spectacular trip while they were here.

We went to the….

… Grand Canyon!

So. Before we get started with the stunning pictures… Let’s start off with some facts!

Did you know…

♡ Each year, the Grand Canyon receives roughly 5 million visitors!

♡ It is 277 miles long and 18 miles wide.

♡ It took the Grand Canyon anywhere between 3-6 billion years to form.

♡ The Grand Canyon became a national park in 1919.

♡ Beautifully formed, the Grand Canyon is one of the “Seven Wonders of the World”.

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

It truly does! Sometimes the pictures don’t do it justice though 😀

      1. That’s true. I’m sure it’s much more beautiful in person.

Great pics! I don’t know about you but I always feel when I take photos of amazing natural scenery that my images don’t capture the expanse of what I’m looking at, don’t do it justice… I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon but it’s on my travel bucket list.

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Oh yeah, I was just thinking that! It is much more beautiful in person. I would definitely go when you can! 😀

  4. The Grand Canyon is definitely on my list of places to go, but, alas, my husband has little interest. I’ll wait a few years and go with my son. It’s so beautiful!

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

      Oh, I loved it there!
