Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Just look at this goodness…


Well, I am a little biased. But… they are Chris’ favorite, so I make them every now and then. Sometimes, it is good that our tastes clash when it comes to favorite cookies. Otherwise, I’d just make these all the damn time. As much as I love them, I also love variety. šŸ˜‰

I do have to admit, they are fudgy. Like you melt a lot of chocolate with butter, and it comes out to be a fudge texture. That’s what makes these cookies. Mmmm!


2 cups chocolate chips
2 Tablespoons butter
1 1/4Ā cupsĀ flour
3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2Ā cup brown sugar
2 large eggs (at room temperature)
2 Tablespoons milk


  1. Preheat oven to 350* F.
  2. In a small bowl, microwave 1 cup chocolate chips with the butter. Set aside.
  3. Mix together the sugars, eggs, and the milk.
  4. Add in the rest of the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate mixture and the remaining cup of chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop out into balls.
  7. Bake 8-11 minutes or until soft. It should look like they’re not fully cooked. That’s what makes them fudgy.
  8. Let them cool almost all the way before removing them from the cookie sheet.
