How Do I Read Tag

Hey lovely bookworms!

I figured it’s been a while since I have completed a tag, so here goes:

How Do I Read Tag

  • How do you find out about new books to read?
    • Mostly Amazon, Goodreads, NetGalley, and my fellow book bloggers. I have added so many books to my TBR just based on those four resources. It’s pretty awesome.
  • How did you get into reading?
    • Oooh, I actually don’t know. I think it was mostly school and my parents. I have loved it for as long as I can remember.
  • How has your taste in books changed as you got older?
    • My tastes have drastically changed over the years. I’m not sure if many will recognize the publisher, but when I was younger, I put in for some free books (I don’t remember the website) and I received two books from Red Dress Ink. I was probably in my early teens. Anyway, my mom found out about that and because one of them started off talking about condoms, she took them away and told me I was too young for them. I was super mad. Granted, now, I realize I was definitely too young, but also, now, I can read whatever I want.
    • For a while, I was only into YA. Then mystery. Then romance. Now, erotica. All fiction. I still love all the ones I mentioned, I just read them in different orders now. Haha.
  • How often do you buy books?
    • Uh… All the time! Nah. Mostly I browse the free ones on Amazon or hit up NetGalley since I am still trying to build a rapport with them.
  • How did you get into reviewing?
    • I got into reviewing basically because of the other book bloggers. My blog started out as a place where I was going to write, talk about books, and put up recipes. Although, I did want recipes to be my main thing. Now, it has kind of fallen by the wayside, (even though I still put some up), but books is now more my thing. I just wish I had more time to read!
  • How do you react when you don’t like the end of the book?
    • I yell. I scream. I cry. No joke. I will rant about a book if I did not like the end.Β Gone Girl was terrible for me. My boyfriend had to listen to me rant about it for like half an hour. Hahaha. That’s what I usually do.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this. Feel free to steal it as wanted.

The Break-Up Bet – Review

State of the ARC

  1. I have so many tags to do and this will definitely be added to the ever growing list πŸ˜€

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Nice! Would love to see your answers! πŸ™‚

      1. I’ll do this ASAP πŸ˜€

  2. I might steal this tag (hehehehe) and I find new books through Goodreads as well. It’s such an awesome website for us book needs!

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Go for it! πŸ™‚ I love Goodreads, so amazing! It’s been a lifesaver.

  3. Thought I’d have some fun and answer some of these. Hope you don’t mind!

1.) Either by looking online and seeing what my favorite authors come out with, seeing them in ads, or asking my dad for recommendations since he has good taste!
2.) I don’t know, I’m guessing also because of school and my dad. My mom doesn’t read a lot (other than the occasional nonfiction book), so I think it’s mostly because of school when I was younger and my dad.
3.) Kind of. When I was younger, I liked books like Cam Jansen (I think they were called) and mystery stuff. Now I like books that are considered thrillers; stuff written by Harlan Coben, James Patterson, etc.
4.) I used to a lot more, not much now. I’m currently reading a book that my dad already had at home.
    5.) N/A
6..) I get irritated and disappointed, maybe complain a little. One thing I hate is when what happens turns out to be a dream or a person imagining it. SO ANNOYING!

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

Omg. #6. I hate that too! It definitely is annoying. I wonder why they do that; it just frustrates me to no end!

      1. Ugh, I know. Like, what’s the point? I hate it! I want to enjoy the story and I read the whole thing only to find out that even though it’s fiction, the writer doesn’t even want it to be as if it really happened? I call it the Wizard of Oz Effect because it’s like that, I know that it’s kind of the point of the movie, but the whole thing is centered around Oz and then Dorothy wakes up. That’s probably why I like Wicked so much, lol!

  4. If love to do this but we’ve been trying to catch up on the ever-growing list! Maybe next time! πŸ˜‰

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

It’s all good! There’s a few out there I really want to do, but they just keep being added to the never-ending list as well. Lol!

      1. Haha. The never-ending struggle of a bookworm? The TBR….

        1. Kendra Kendra says:

But it’s an awesome struggle πŸ˜‰
