It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

Hello everyone! Welcome back! I’ve seen this meme floating around everywhere. I am excited for us to continue with this meme! Welcome to our eleventh It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

This is a weekly meme, now hosted by Book Date. Tune in every Monday for bookish talks and future plans!

Let’s get to it!

So here they are:

My reading for this past week has been absolutely horrible. AGAIN. I finally finished Strictly Surgical by Mila Mesa. This was an amazing book! I loved it! It got a 5 out of 5 hearts from me. It’s Mesa’s debut novel and a definite must-read.

Next up, I started Savages by Natalie Bennett. Bennett is one of my Top 2017 Authors. I have loved everything she has written, and this one is no exception. I gave it a 5 out of 5 hearts! The pre-order link is live. So if you like dark & twisted books, which is a specialty around here, be sure to check it out!

Thankfully, I am on holiday break from school right now. Yassss! Last week killed me with the amount of reading I needed to do! I am hoping to read a bunch during this break. But we are spending a week with my parents for Christmas. So honestly, who knows how much reading I will be doing. Wish me luck regardless.

I was able to pick up another book this week! It was an outstanding collection of poetry ;Recovery by Jasmine Smith. This was a collection about post-breakup feelings. It was so raw and I could relate to many of the poems. It was really enjoyable. I am definitely loving these modern poetry collections. ;Recover was a 4 out of 5 hearts from me. You guys should pick this one up!

How is your reading going so far?

Tiffany is still reading Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire. We need to help break her out of her slump! She’s almost done with this one. When she is, she’ll be moving onto November 9 by Colleen Hoover!
