It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?
Hello everyone! Welcome back! I’ve seen this meme floating around everywhere. I am excited for us to continue with this meme! Welcome to our fourth It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?
This is a weekly meme, now hosted by Book Date. Tune in every Monday for bookish talks and future plans!
Let’s get to it!
So here they are:
This was my first read of October: Bait by Jade West. We haven’t participated in IMWAYR in a few weeks because we weren’t reading any books! It was so sad! For real. Then, I read Bait and ooooh, I kinda got my mojo back! Yesss! Bait was exactly my kind of book. I could hardly put it down! 5 out of 5 hearts.
Next up was With Love by Liz Lovelock. This was a continuation in the Letters in Blood series. The third (and final) book is out in November. 4 out of 5 hearts.
Then, I read Easton by K Webster. It was a book I had been meaning to read for a while. I was excited! I mean, it’s K Webster. If y’all know anything by now, it’s how much we love her books. So naturally, I dived right in and ate it all up! 4 out of 5 hearts.
It was a super quick read. I received an arc and read it in a day! Yes! 3 out of 5 hearts.
Finally, I read a beta copy of Getting Amy by Tasha Heart. This is only the third book I’ve ever beta read, so I’m still getting the hang of it. However, I’m definitely enjoying it! 3 out of 5 hearts. My review will be live once the book is released, sometime in November.
Speaking of November… Big news! I’ll be participating in the Read-a-thin Readathon! Omg. I cannot wait! Look out for my TBR soon. If you don’t know what Read-a-thin is, I suggest you check out the video and watch it! Jessica is amazing and there are two other ladies that host the readathon with her. My TBR for this will be up fairly soon. I hope. At least with the TBR post at the beginning of the month. I’ll list all the challenges too. Who knows how many I will get to? Wish me luck!
Tiffany’s weeks have been pretty busy! She hasn’t read much of anything! Buuuuut she has read a few pages of Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire. It’s the second book in the Wayward Children series, which she read the first one last month.
Life has thrown us some crazy curveballs! How has your reading life been going? Keep us in the loop!
Over the weekend, I participated in Dewey’s 24 Readathon. I was only able to read for about 4.5 hours. BUT in that time, I was able to read three books! Two of those are included in this post. The next one, you’ll have to wait until next week to find out!
So… Tell us. It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?
