Pink | Blog All About It

Welcome back to Blog All About It! We’re in the second month now, and this month’s topic is Pink. Again, whatever you want the topic to be about, that’s what it is.

Valentine’s Day was a few weeks ago. Love is all in the air. But is it? Haha. Maybe. Anyway, many people associate the color pink with Valentine’s Day and February in general. Last month was the first sentence of books, so now we’re going to talk about books that have pink titles or books with a lot of pink on the cover.

Pink Covers

The first one that comes to mind is Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas (Amazon // Goodreads). I recently bought this because of Jess over at PeaceLoveBooks on BookTube. Penelope Douglas is one of her favorite authors and one of her favorite books of all time is Punk 57.

From what I can gather it’s about two pen pals who are I don’t even know… Like, I kinda read the synopsis and there’s no way I could do it justice. I just know I want to go in blind. Jess raves about it, and I’m going to give it a try.

Besides, doesn’t this cover just look gorgeous! I am in love with it. I love it so much I had to buy the paperback; having the Kindle version was just not going to be enough for me. I’m hoping to pick this one up soon! Remind me if I haven’t read it within the next month.

Next up, there is It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover (Amazon // Goodreads). This was one of my favorite books of 2016. 5 stars isn’t enough to talk about my love of this book. I ended up writing an open letter to the book as my review, which you can read here.

Besides the glaring pink on the cover, the one thing that sticks out is the shattered flower on the front. It reminds me of the whole “he loves me, he loves me not” picking off the flower petals thing. What’s funny about that is that it actually flows with the book. And y’all have probably heard of this book by now, and it doesn’t surprise me. Although it was on my top 6 of 2016 list, it’s also one of my all-time favorite books. I actually plan on re-reading it within the next few weeks too.

Lastly…

The third book I want to show y’all is Sundays is for Hangovers by K Webster and JD Hollyfield (Amazon // Goodreads). One of my favorite books of 2018 has a pink cover!

Yes, K Webster is one of my absolute favorite authors, but this book, oh this book. It’s so hilarious, and funny like ‘snort because you’re laughing so hard’ hilarious. I could not put this book down! Lil and Will are one of my favorite couples, hands down. In a weird way, they kind of reminds me of me and Chris and our relationship – all the bickering and pranks, the hoopla of it. Everything about this book is super cute and makes you wish you had some hangover Sundays…

Pick it up, and you won’t be sorry! I should do a reread of this one too… Anyone want to do a buddy read? I’d definitely be willing.

So…

It’s no surprise the books I showcased are romance. Yep, that’s me, the hopeless romantic. While I’ve read 2 out of 3, the 2 I read were favorite books… Does this mean Punk 57 will be a favorite too? Send positive thoughts to the book gods for good luck! Please and thank you!

What are some of your favorite covers with pink on them?
I would love to know!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
I’d love to know your comments on those too!
