Reader Confession Tag
Good morning everyone! I found this tag over at Rachel’s blog, Rachel Poli. She’s a pretty cool writer, so if you haven’t checked her out yet, please do so!
Alrighty, let’s get started!
1. Have you ever damaged a book?
Oh my… Sure, of course I have. I mean, who hasn’t? Especially when you’re just a wee little kid, and you have no idea what is the right way to treat your beloved books…
2. Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?
Not that I am aware of… I was always told as to treat things as I would want my things to be treated. So if anything, your book got treated better than mine… Haha
3. How long does it take you to read a book?
Usually about a week. Much sooner if I am hooked and have nothing else going on. However, it can take longer than a week if I’m not too interested…
4. Books that you haven’t finished?
In terms of DNF — there are two that come to mind. The Guest List by Melissa Hill and Hawthorne by Sarah Ballance. In terms of unread books, hundreds; wayy to many unfinished books to count.
5. Hyped/Popular books that you don’t like?
Oooh, let’s see. Harry Potter (yes, yes, I know.), Hunger Games, Divergent, Game of Thrones, Outlander… It’s more of the fantasy genre than anything.
*Just don’t hate me, guys. Please!
6. Is there a book you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?
I don’t think so… At first I was super shy about books, like the time I read Fifty Shades of Grey. I didn’t want anyone to know I was reading erotica, well, except for Chris. But now, I honestly don’t care who knows what I read. Besides, it’s all pretty much public on my Goodreads account anyway.
7. How many books do you own?
Print books? Just under 350. eBooks? Over 1500.
8. Are you a fast reader or a slow reader?
I’d say a medium to slow reader. See #3 for clarification. Also, I did read 60-ish books last year, so that is a little more than 1.5 books a week.
9. Do you like to buddy read?
I have not had the opportunity yet. However, it one comes along and my schedule is clear (for the most part), then I would love to!
10. Do you read better in your head or out loud?
I read much better in my head. When I read out loud, sometimes I stumble over words, or omit words that should be there. I swear I have reading out loud dyslexia, if that’s a thing. Buuut. I kind of do it when I talk about loud minus the reading, so it could just be I’m a terrible speaker…
11. If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?
Omg. No. No. Nooooo. While I do have a favorite book, I’m not sure it would be the only one I would own. Unless, it was a new volume that could include all 6 books. Then that would be awesome.
… every reader who is reading my post!
