The Netflix and Books Tag

Netflix and Books Tag

Hi everyone! I saw this over at She Latitude and Reg tagged me in the comments. There were a couple of these that looked super awesome to me, so I wanted to do it.

The Rules:

  • Choose a book or book series that best matches the prompt provided.
  • Feel free to change the TV show if you’d like it to reflect YOUR preferences!
  • A blank set of the prompts is located at the very bottom.
  • Link back to the creators, Christy at Novel Ink and Lauren at Bookmark Lit, and tag some friends to join in!
  • Complete list of TV shows at the bottom.

Here goes:

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Unlikable Character(s)

Both of the main characters in Addicted by Amelia Betts. (my review). I felt they were both one sided, and just clashed! Ugh.

Friends: Best Cast of Characters/Friendships

Both of these books are from the same series, but I really enjoyed them. They might not be the “best” characters ever, but it totally fits.

Gossip Girl: Hate that You Love or Guilty Pleasure

This is a tough one. I would have to semi go with Reg’s answers and say smutting erotica. There’s tasteful erotica (like Amber Bardan), and then there’s erotica that reads like porn. I kinda like them both. LOL.

Grey’s Anatomy: All the Feels

Too Late I still can’t guys. Just read it.

That 70’s Show: Set in a Different Time Period

The Lost Girls I adored this book. Too Late knocked this book out of the number 1 spot for ‘Best Book of 2016’. The Lost Girls is number 2.

Orange is the New Black: Couldn’t Stop Reading

Would it be cheating if I used Too Late again? Haha.

I’ll go with: RB-ForHerProtection-ABardan_FINAL

Breaking Bad: Favorite Villain

Ok, this one I am going to duplicated. While he was so despicable, Asa from Too Late was like the perfect villain. Ooh, and there’s Amy from Gone Girl. She was insanely good too.

Freaks and Geeks: Left You Wanting More

I really enjoyed this series, and all the loose ends were neatly tied up. However, I feel like there was something missing from the second book (Sweet Liar) and I would have loved to have a third book!

Here are all of the prompts:

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: unlikeable character(s)
Vampire Diaries: your ship sank or didn’t happen
Friends: best cast of characters/friendships
Gossip Girl: hate that you love or guilty pleasure
Doctor Who: long series you loved
Grey’s Anatomy: all the feels
How I Met Your Mother: bad ending
Supernatural: favorite paranormal/fantasy
Freaks & Geeks: left you wanting more
The OC: series that should have ended earlier
Girl Meets World: should have a spin-off
That 70’s Show: set in a different time period
Orange is the New Black: couldn’t stop reading
Parks and Recreation: made you laugh out loud
One Tree Hill: favorite book boyfriend
Breaking Bad: favorite villain
Modern Family: best family or parents

I consider everyone tagged! Show me your answers! 😉

Until next time,

State of the ARC

  1. I definitely agree with Amy from Gone Girl being the perfect villain. That book was just insane.

  2. Yay, I’m glad you ended up doing this tag! Amy would be another choice of mine as well for favourite villain – I LOVE HER (in that “what a gloriously crazy person” kind of way).

Also I need to check out Amber Bardan if she has tasteful erotica! Sex scenes are very hit and miss for me and I often cringe when certain words that I don’t like are used. What would you recommend first from her? 😊

    1. Kendra Kendra says:

I would start with Didn’t I Warn You by Amber Bardan. It is part of a series, but it was also the first book I read by her. I was hooked! If you check it out, let me know what you think!

      1. Awesome, thanks! I’ll check it out. 😀

  3. Avatar Random Reads says:

Great tag! I haven’t read any of these books 🙂
