The ‘Would You Rather’ Tag
Good morning from sunny South Dakota! I’m on vacation right now visiting family, but I thought I would get a blog post or two scheduled. (Pics from vacation to come soon)
I haven’t been tagged for this, but I have seen it a couple times in the WP Reader. I don’t get tagged for much, so feel free to tag me! I love tags! So here goes:
The Would You Rather Tag
Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?
Oooh. Tough one for the first question… I would have to say standalones because I would never have to worry about a cliffhanger or waiting until the next book came out. That drives me crazy and I am that way with TV shows too. I don’t have cable, so I used Netflix and Hulu. With Hulu though, I hardly start new shows because I have to wait until next week or next summer/fall for the new season. Anyway, that is my long way of saying, I would much rather read single books than trilogies.
Would you rather only read male or female authors?
Hmm.. As much as I love my James Patterson, I would have to say only female authors because there is noooo wayyyy I’d give up Sarah Dessen or Ellen Hopkins. Or Jude Deveraux. The majority of the authors I read are female.
Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?
Amazon 100%. Barnes and Noble is too expensive. I could get three or four books at Amazon for the price of ONE at Barnes and Nobel. Besides, sometimes, I like book shopping from the comfort of my couch. However, I absolutely adore second hand bookstores. I truly wish there were more of them!
Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?
I would have to say TV shows because movies are just not long enough. I know it’s talked about too much, but take 50 Shades of Grey, for example, they had to cut out quite a few scenes from the book in order to make a movie. They did leave out many details and even though it was 2 hours, there still not enough time. With TV Shows, they could make 12 or 13 45-minute episodes (which really is the equivalent of 1 season) and leave in all the tiny details and call it good. Especially if it is a trilogy. That would be awesome.
Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?
Definitely five books per week. I could be a fast reader if I really wanted, but I would die only reading five pages a day. Who does that?
Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?
If I absolutely had to pick… I would pick reviewer. As much as I love to write, I would love to review more. Especially because I am going to my degree in English and I want to be an editor/proofreader. Best of both words while reviewing. I could write on the side, read for my day job, and review. Eat, sleep, repeat.
Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?
No brainer. Bookseller. If I owned my own bookstore, I could potentially own thousands of books.. This is a good idea…
Would you rather only read your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite?
My favorite, no doubt. That’s why it is my favorite, I don’t get tired of it.
Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?
Man, what is with the tough questions? If price was to be considered, ebooks. If it is not, then physical books. I only say that because, just like the B&N vs. Amazon, I can buy 3-4 ebooks for the price of one physical book.
I tag anyone who wants to be tagged!
