Top Ten Historical Settings I Love

I’m going to give this one a super twist because I am not a fan of historical settings. So… This week, I’m going to give you settings that I love to see in books.

~~ Absolutely anything in the country. Not really farms and such, but like open roads, fields, barns, that kind of country. Dirt roads that go nowhere for miles. The night sky with stars so big.

~~ Anything small town. I am a huge sucker for small towns, especially romances. Ooh! I just love them!

         – Twilight, Texas comes to mind from Lori Wilde’s book I’ll Be Home For Christmas.

~~ Big cities. Deep down, I’m a country girl ( / city girl). I love aspects of both. I gotta have my bookstores, but I need some space. No malls please.

~~ High school or college. Mostly in romance books, but I like seeing the setting unfold at school. I’m a nerd, what can I say?

       – Probably why I love Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl.

~~ Beaches. I love books that are at the beach. Colby (Sarah Dessen) is super close to the beach. <3 <3 <3

~~ Mountains. It’s totally the whole country/city thing. I would love to be in the mountains, hidden in a secluded cabin. Make sure to give me Internet though!

Well… I think that is about it!

What types of setting to you guys like to see in books?! Do we have any in common? Any you don’t like that I do?
