Nina Redmond is a literary matchmaker. Pairing a reader with that perfect book is her passion… and also her job. Or at least it was. Until yesterday, she was a librarian in the hectic city. But now the job she loved is no more.

Determined to make a new life for herself, Nina moves to a sleepy village many miles away. There she buys a van and transforms it into a bookmobile—a mobile bookshop that she drives from neighborhood to neighborhood, changing one life after another with the power of storytelling.

From helping her grumpy landlord deliver a lamb, to sharing picnics with a charming train conductor who serenades her with poetry, Nina discovers there’s plenty of adventure, magic, and soul in a place that’s beginning to feel like home… a place where she just might be able to write her own happy ending.

MY REVIEW

Jenny always writes cute books, this is no exception! The characters, the setting, the mobile bookstore. It was an adorable book that I gobbled up in no time!

I felt transported to Scotland, where all the magic happens. Jenny’s writing style hits the spot with The Bookshop on the Corner. It is perfect for any book lover. It’s fluffy, light, and has tons of heart.

Although, I do have to say that the title is a tad misleading. The bookshop is not entirely on a corner. It’s in a van. While the van could be parked on any corner, it’s still mobile. It’s not a stable bookshop on a corner. That was something I had to keep reminding myself. Also, I must admit I feel a little more cultured.

Also, I must admit I feel a little more cultured. I’ve never been to Scotland, or basically anywhere on that side of the world. However, I was able to get a glimpse of what things are like over there. And Jenny gave me tons of books to look up. As if my TBR needed to get any higher! Hahaha.

*I received a copy from Edelweiss and Harper Collins in part of the virtual tour in exchange for my honest review.
